Encore! is not age-specific, but targets adults approximately 45 and older, who desire to connect in meaningful ways with other adults in a similar time of life.
Our act isn’t over; we’re making an Encore!
This ministry is motivated by the need for an affinity group that will:
- Serve as a doorway for visitors to The City Church to meet and connect with other adults.
- Provide an opportunity for fellowship and development of vital relationship within the group.
- Make opportunities for the seniors of the congregation to be recognized, supported, and cared for when they have physical needs and/or health issues.
Frank & Dora Clarkson
Rich & Denise Schubert
Dave & Ruby Byus
The group looks for opportunities to serve other ministries, individuals, or needs within the church or group. They have raised money for gift cards at Christmas, provided snacks for our Children’s Church, helped a needy family with gas and food, kept a prayer chain, and looked after the needs of the older member

Connecting Women to God and to Each Other
Believing that women have a built-in need for close contact with other women for nurturing, socialization, and support; and understanding that the ministry of City Church requires that everything we do be for the ultimate purpose of making disciples, it is our intent to design opportunities for women to:
Make or strengthen their connection to God
Make or strengthen their connection with other women
TYPES OF OPPORTUNITIES
Fun Events – to vitally connect with other women.
Support Events – to help women experience freedom and the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
Teaching Events – to help women grow in grace, knowledge of the Word, and how to live out their Christian faith.
Serving Events – to give opportunity to serve where there’s a need that resonates with women, and in the process experience community and friendship-building.
